The team representing Shocklogic at IBTM World this year included our CEO and Founder John Martinez and local representatives Alberto Aristeguieta, Miquel Fortuny, and Albert Bernaus.

Back to the show: we had the pleasure of exhibiting with the Meetings & Events Support Association on their booth, N20. Shocklogic is a Patron Member of MESA, a community of suppliers in our industry that network, support and learn from each other. Another perk of being a MESA member was that we had the opportunity to attend the MESA Re-FRESH Dinner. This was the perfect opportunity to network with fellow members and industry peers, and relax after a busy first day on the show floor. 

John Martinez also presented a speaker session: “Leadership: How to build effective teams through the power of neuroscience” during the show. This included:

• How neuroscience can make you a better leader
• Understanding how our brains process fear and decisión making
• Understanding the “Fight / Flight / Freeze” response
• How motivation works in our brains
• Physiology, emotions, feelings, thoughts, actions, results
• Effectiveness vs Efficiency
