“The importance of networking – Lessons from a career in the events industry” is the latest topic discussed in Shocklogic’s interview series. In this episode, our CEO & Founder John Martinez interviews Sandie McCoubrey, Co-Founder of Meetings & Events Support Association (MESA).
You can watch the full interview here.
Sandie is a British Expat living in Corfu in Greece since 2002, and is a skilled sales and marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience working in exhibitions, events, and project management. Extremely goal-oriented and committed to success, her strengths lie in networking and bringing new connections and opportunities to the industry.
Sandie has worked at large corporate companies including Coca-Cola, Sony and Reed Exhibitions, and travelled extensively throughout her working career. When the events industry took a major hit with the pandemic, she did (and still does) her best to remain balanced and in control, taking time to write more, test some photography skills, and try watercolour paintings!
In 2021, Sandie co-founded MESA – the Meetings & Events Support Association. MESA is a new association based on the previous membership activities of MDI (Meeting Design Institute). It is a community of companies with a ‘people-first’ ethos, who collaborate and work together on fresh new ideas.
