Shocklogic Values: 360 Degrees of Care

At Shocklogic, we define ourselves as a value-centred company. We believe that as humans, our individual values shape everything we do. Whether we realise it or not, we speak from our values in every conversation we have and every message we send. 

Defining a strong set of values as a company allows us to create a common language based on kindness, compassion, and mutual support. We attempt to use this language in all our interactions, with both our clients and colleagues. 

Our values encourage perseverance, growth, and integrity. They help us to promote a motivated and productive work environment, make sure that we always communicate with conscientiousness and transparency, and nurture every individual to become the best version of themselves. 

Shocklogic’s values are the heart and soul of the company. They are built into every aspect of our products and services, and they ensure that we never lose sight of why we do what we do. In this blog series, we will explore Shocklogic’s core values in more depth, starting with our value, 360 Degrees of Care.

We strongly believe that self-care is the starting point which enables us to take care of others. When we talk about 360 degrees of care we tend to start with the ‘aeroplane analogy’, which is to put your own oxygen mask on first before helping others.

Putting the team first doesn’t mean sacrificing our own well-being. It’s essential to prioritise self-care as only then can we perform at our best, both personally and professionally. We encourage our team members to take care of themselves, whether it’s through practising mindfulness or pursuing hobbies that bring them joy.

When we take care of ourselves, we can extend that care to others. By nurturing and supporting each other, we create a strong and effective team. Our team is only as strong as the bond between its members, and that’s why we place such a high value on fostering a supportive workplace culture.

By taking care of ourselves and each other, we can extend that same level of care to our clients and suppliers. We believe that by providing 360 degrees of care, we can create long-lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

We believe that by understanding and acknowledging others’ experiences, we can connect with people on a deeper level and create positive change in the world around us.
