The Meetings Show has come to a close for another year, leaving the Shocklogic team buzzing with excitement. From interactive football experiences to engaging industry sessions, this year’s show was nothing short of eventful. In this blog, we dive into the highlights of Shocklogic’s journey at “The Meetings Show” and the valuable connections we made.

Tuesday: A Very Welcome Reception
On the 27th of June, Shocklogic took centre stage as the official registration and scanning provider for the Welcome Reception held at Toca Social. This unique venue blended immersive gaming and dining, making it the perfect backdrop for networking. Our CEO John Martinez attended as our Hosted Buyer Group Coordinator, and he had a blast engaging with attendees while enjoying some friendly kicks of the football.

Wednesday: Showtime
An early start on the 28th of June saw the Shocklogic team joining the ICCA UK & Ireland Chapter Meeting. This gathering provided an excellent opportunity for us to reconnect with chapter members and gain insights into the future plans of the chapter. Energised by the discussions, we then moved on to our stand, E81, ready to showcase our software and services. We had John, Johnny, Lorena, Pritesh, Gianna and Natalia representing us over both days.

Industry Challenges and Networking
John Martinez, who was very busy during the show, actively participated in one of the Industry Challenge sessions at “The Blank Canvas.” These sessions encouraged attendees to discuss their current event-related challenges and collectively explore effective solutions. As the day progressed, networking drinks on the show floor allowed our Shocklogic team to further connect with event profs, and let their hair down. Additionally, we attended the member dinner hosted by MESA (Meetings & Events Support Association).

Thursday: Powering Through the Final Day
On the final day of the show, the Shocklogic team continued our dynamic presence at their stand, engaging in productive meetings with industry peers. John Martinez once again took the mic, hosting a campfire session at the MESA stand. The discussion focused on creating meaningful relationships in a digital era.

Looking Ahead
We would like to express our gratitude to everyone involved in making this year’s show exceptional. As we reflect on the eventful days filled with networking, industry challenges, and fruitful meetings, the Shocklogic team emerges stronger, more inspired, and eager to continue transforming the landscape of event management with our innovative solutions.  We formed valuable connections and forged new partnerships, and we eagerly anticipate returning next year to continue our journey of innovation and collaboration.
